Louis Reymond was born in 1889 in the “Vallée de Joux”. Fascinated by watch-making, he starts working at the Jaegger Lecoultre factory as an apprentice. At the time, Jaegger Lecoultre is the leader in the manufacture of watches in the “Vallée de Joux”. His efforts in learning, inventing and going faster and further in this field become an obsession. In those same years, he devotes a substantial part of his time to the development of new extremely precise and sophisticated movements measuring time with a chronometer. His son Héli Reymond was born in 1918. Like his father, Héli Reymond is a talented watch-maker. He starts to create watches and chronometers of an extreme and complex precision. Héli Reymond has a competitor’s spirit and likes to measure himself against the very best. As an amateur of bicycle races against the clock, he tried to distance his then world famous friends (Fredi Kubler and Hugo Koblet). Today, it’s Mr. Héli Reymond’s son-in-law Mr. Norbert Golay, a traditional and high calibre watch-maker known to the most prestigious names in watch-making, who supervises the manufacture of these watches and chronometers, always with the founder Louis Reymond’s slogan in mind “quality and precision”. These beautiful Héli Reymond watches and chronometers are displayed in Switzerland in the Héli Reymond building at “le Pont” in the “Vallée de Joux”, the cradle of prestigious watch-making. They are also for sale all over the world at our Watch-maker-Jeweller sites.
